A Healthy You! America's Guide to Healthy Living

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Hispanics are more likely than non-Hispanic whites to suffer from chronic health conditions such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes and are less likely to receive regular, continuous care. To help address such disparities, Eli Lilly and Company and the National Council of La Raza have published a free pocket-size resource guide to be distributed at NCLR offices and health fairs and other events around the country. Published in English (75 pages, PDF) and Spanish (148 pages, PDF), the books, A Healthy You! America's Guide to Healthy Living (Buena Salud, Buena Vida: Su Guia de Recursos de Salud), emphasize preventive health measures and offer lists of programs and agencies in each state, including some that specifically target the Hispanic community.
