Annenberg Foundation's High School Civic Education Resources

Through a program of the Annenberg Foundation's Civic Education Initiative, high school teachers of American government can complement their textbook lessons with a yearlong, hands-on experience in which students "test-drive" the political process — identifying a public policy issue or problem in their community, forming a position on it, and engaging local leaders, government officials, media, and the public to help resolve it. Teacher resources offered through the site include a brochure (12 pages, PDF) and DVD.
