Availability of Affordable Homes: A Handbook of High-Impact State and Local Solutions

In its 2003 report Paycheck to Paycheck: Wages and the Cost of Housing in America, the Center for Housing Policy found that many healthcare professionals and other community workers are priced out of homeownership in most U.S. markets. With funding from the Annie E. Casey Foundation, the center and Homes for Working Families have produced a follow-up report, Increasing the Availability of Affordable Homes: A Handbook of High-Impact State and Local Solutions (36 pages, PDF), which details twenty-two policies that have helped alleviate the affordable housing squeeze in many parts of the country.
