California Statewide Survey: Special Survey on the Environment

The second in a three-year series of surveys of California residents from the Public Policy Institute of California, PPIC Statewide Survey: Special Survey on the Environment (40 pages, PDF) examines variations in public perceptions of regional and statewide environmental conditions, including global warming, air quality, and energy issues. The report, funded by the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, also explores public attitudes toward stricter air pollution standards that would result in increased cost to the individual consumer, state and national political leadership related to the environment, and participation in environmental activities.
