Carnegie Reporter, Spring 2003

The spring 2003 issue of the Carnegie Reporter is out, and it features articles on subjects as various as a Brooklyn-based Haitian weekly newspaper, the 1913 opening of the Palace of Peace at The Hague, and the migration of animation from action films to the classroom. The lead article, "New Americans, Fresh Off the Presses," looks at the growing popularity of ethnic newspapers and broadcasters in the U.S. and whether their influence may in fact be slowing cultural assimilation among different immigrant groups.
