Daring to Lead 2006 (40 pages, PDF), a new study from CompassPoint Nonprofit Services and the Eugene and Agnes E. Meyer Foundation, finds that three-quarters of nonprofit executives plan to leave their jobs within the next five years due to frustrations with boards and funders, inadequate compensation, and lack of stakeholder support. The survey of nearly 2,000 leaders of small and midsize organizations in eight cities details their concerns and offers recommendations to boards and funders as to how they can better support nonprofit executives.
