Growing Up in North America: Child Health and Safety in Canada, the United States, and Mexico

A new report from the Children in North America Project argues that Canada, the United States, and Mexico have much to accomplish with respect to ensuring the health, education, and safety of children. Growing Up in North America: Child Health and Safety in Canada, the United States, and Mexico (64 pages, PDF) found that for all three nations rates of obesity are too high, and that unintentional injuries, many of them preventable, are the leading cause of death for children. The project is supported by the Annie E. Casey Foundation, the Canadian Council on Social Development, and the Children's Rights Network in Mexico.
