Stanford Social Innovation Review

Several features from the premiere issue of the Stanford Social Innovation Review, a quarterly journal published by the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University, are now available online. They include "Going to Scale: The Challenge of Replicating Social Programs" (8 pages, PDF), by Jeffrey Bradach, which explores the challenges posed and strategies used by nonprofits that wish to extend their reach; "Sparking Nonprofit Innovation: Weird Management Ideas That Work" (8 pages, PDF), by Stanford professor Robert I. Sutton, which looks at counterintuitive management ideas that can stimulate innovation at nonprofit organizations; and an interview (3 pages, PDF) with Ford Foundation president Susan Berresford, who discusses, among other things, her theory of social change and the biggest misconception about foundations.
