National HIV Testing Day: June 27

June 27 is National HIV Testing Day, and to mark the occasion the Kaiser Family Foundation and MTV have planned a series of online and on-air public service announcements as part of MTV's think: Sexual Health campaign to encourage young people to get tested for HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases. In addition, Kaiser and MTV will team up on the Hear Me Project for the Positively Negative National HIV/AIDS Story-Writing Competition for youth ages fourteen to twenty-two. More information is available through think.mtv.com and the campaign hotline 1-888-BE SAFE-1. Kaiser, whose collaboration with MTV builds on a nine-year public education partnership, has also updated its online fact sheet on HIV testing.
