Nonprofit Social Network Survey Report

Nonprofit Social Network Survey Report

According to a recent report issued by NTEN, Common Knowledge, and ThePort Network, social networking has become an integral part of many nonprofits' online strategy. Based on a survey of nearly a thousand nonprofits, the Nonprofit Social Network Survey Report (17 pages, PDF) found that 74 percent of nonprofits have a presence on Facebook, while nearly 31 percent have one or more social networking communities on their own Web site. At the same time, very few nonprofits have generated significant revenue through their social media efforts, with 29 percent of respondents saying they had raised $500 or less through such activities over the past twelve months.
