NYFA Source

NYFA Source

Arts organizations and individual artists in all disciplines can turn to NYFA Source to learn about organizations, awards, services, and publications that can support and facilitate their work. The online database, produced by the New York Foundation for the Arts, the Urban Institute, and Carnegie Mellon University's Center for Arts Management and Technology, is updated regularly and features information on 3,400 arts groups, 2,800 award programs, 3,100 service programs, and nine hundred publications. NYFA Source supports a number of search criteria, including keywords, organization and program names, award types, publication topics, artistic disciplines, and geographic eligibility requirements. Launched late last year, the online initiative grew out of the Visual Artist Information Hotline created in 1990 by the Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation, which still provides support for NYFA Source.
