Survey: Philadelphians Register Concern for Environment

A new survey (55 pages, PDF) by PennFuture, an environmental advocacy group, finds that Philadelphia business leaders and residents agree that environmental damage is harming the city and that protecting the environment is vital to growing the region's economy. Funded by the William Penn Foundation on behalf of the Next Great City initiative, the report found that reducing pollution, improving abandoned industrial and housing sites, fixing water and sewer systems, and improving roads and bridges all ranked high among Philadelphians' concerns.
