The Lowe's Charitable and Educational Foundation has announced grants totaling more than $2.4 million to K-12 schools across the country.
Grants were awarded through the foundation's Toolbox for Education program to 559 schools in forty-six states to support a wide range of school improvement projects during the 2012-13 school year. Since its launch in 2006, the Toolbox program has provided more than $34 million in grants to 7,500 schools benefiting more than four million children.
"Lowe's is committed to enhancing the educational experience and improving schools for students across the country through the Lowe's Toolbox for Education program," said Lowe's Charitable and Educational Foundation chair Marshall Croom. "With community support and the hands-on help of local Lowe's Heroes employee volunteers, these funds will go a long way to improve the future for thousands of children."
