The TD Charitable Foundation has announced grants totaling $2.5 million to twenty-five nonprofit organizations.

Grants of $100,000 each were awarded through the foundation's seventh annual Housing for Everyone competition to nonprofits working to provide transitional housing and homeless shelters in the District of Columbia and twelve states where TD Bank conducts business. Grant recipients include the Chrysalis Center in Hartford, Connecticut; Ability Housing of Northeast Florida; Avesta Housing Development Corporation in Portland, Maine; Impact Services Corp. in Philadelphia; Western Carolina Rescue Ministries; and Olneyville Housing Corporation in Providence, Rhode Island.

"This year's winners strive to end homelessness through innovative affordable housing projects that not only help those in transition, but also provides permanent homes for those in need," said TD Charitable Foundation president Elizabeth K.
