Royal Caribbean Cruises Ocean Fund Offers Support for Marine Conservation Work

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. established the Ocean Fund in 1966 to support marine conservation organizations working to preserve the world's oceans.

Ocean Fund grants are made to nonprofit groups and institutions conducting activities (e.g., research, education, and innovative technologies) directly related to marine conservation.

Grants average between $20,000 and $40,000 each, and applicants must provide proof of their 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. While letters of interest and formal proposals are requested by RCL invitation only, organizations seeking grants from the Ocean Fund are encouraged to e-mail the fund throughout the year to introduce their organization, mission, programs, and potential projects relevant to thefund's mission.
